Background and Current Research

Surojit Das is currently engaged in research on dynamic demand estimation, with a particular focus on incorporating uncertainties into demand estimation for transportation networks. His work aims to enhance the reliability of demand forecasting by addressing variability in traffic patterns and capacity constraints.

Surojit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Previously, he served as a Research Intern at NIT Durgapur, where he developed machine learning models to identify key risk factors associated with fatal crashes, with a specific focus on signalized intersections. His research interests lie in the areas of transportation planning and demand modeling for improving urban mobility and safety outcomes.
