Background and Research:

Currently, Abhishek is pursuing doctoral research focused on understanding and analysing the implementation and emergence of micromobility in India. His PhD explores the trajectory of micromobility growth, its potential future developments, and essential considerations required for effective integration within Indian urban contexts. By leveraging quantitative data, particularly trip-level information, his work aims to assess the feasibility and optimal methods for integrating micromobility systems into existing transportation infrastructures in India, ultimately promoting sustainable and safe urban mobility solutions.

Abhishek's master's thesis, titled "Analysis of Road Safety for Pedestrians and Cyclists," focused on evaluating pedestrian and cyclist safety within Chandigarh. This study aimed to develop a comprehensive safety index identifying critical safety parameters for non-motorised road users, with particular emphasis on three-legged intersections. The statistical analyses conducted using SPSS resulted in targeted recommendations for safety enhancements.
