Background and Research:
Amit Kumar is a Ph.D. research scholar at the Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Centre (TRIPC), IIT D. His research title is "Public Utility Coordination in Right-of-Way (RoW) Management". The study investigates the process of utility works in the RoW and tries to optimize the process, thus creating a cost and time-efficient and safer utility work zone. He is an architect and an urban and rural planner by profession. He has a keen interest in active transportation modes.
He has also worked as an Assistant Professor - RV College of Architecture, Bengaluru (2017-2018).
