Background and Research:

Marsha’s current research focuses on the perception and acceptance of lower levels of vehicle automation, with particular emphasis on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in the Indian context. She is also involved in studying the suitability of ADAS in India and its impact on driver behaviour in real-world traffic conditions. Additionally, she is analyzing the implementation of ADAS in public buses as well and examining the influence of various environmental and contextual factors on the ADAS alert generation in operational traffic conditions.

Previously, as a research intern at the Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Centre (TRIP Centre), IIT Delhi, she examined biases in media reporting of road traffic crashes, comparing the level of detail in newspaper articles across categories such as gender, age, cause of crash, vehicle type, no. of fatalities, and crash location.
