Background and Current Research

Oshin's current research focuses on the impact of environmental factors on walkability in the urban streets of Delhi. She is examining how combined exposure to air pollution, heat, and noise influences people’s willingness to walk and their route choices. The study aims to understand how varying ambient conditions across different streets affect pedestrian behaviour and walkability outcomes in real-world scenarios.

Oshin Agarwal is an architect with a Master's in Infrastructure Systems from IIT Roorkee, where she was awarded the gold medal and Shri Ravi Mohan Mangal cash prize for securing the highest CGPA in her batch. She was also selected for the DAAD-KOSPIE exchange scholarship program and spent seven months at the Institute for Sustainable Urbanism, TU Braunschweig, Germany, working on walkability planning in hill areas.
