Background and Research:

Pratik is currently involved in understanding pedestrian travel behaviour using a mixed-method approach. His work involves the identification of objective and subjective walkability measures. Further, he is analysing to establish a relation between identified objective and subjective measures to retain and shift to walking.

Motivation for Research:

Previously involved in traffic injury-related work, highlighted that pedestrians were among the highest share of fatalities. This alarming situation, as studied for multiple cities across India, motivated me to work on its intervention by identifying perceptions of pedestrians.
